It's time to morph! Change your fate like Merida of the Film "Brave"

I just watched the animated fantasy adventure film "Brave" produced by Pixar Animation and officially distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is about the life of Merida, a very strong-willed young teenager, a Princess who wishes to follow her own decisions and plans for her future. She can't accept the decision that her mother, the Queen, had made to her disappointment she runaway. She met a witch and asked her to change her mother so that her fate will be changed.

Merida

The lesson in this film is not just about being brave enough to change your fate but the most important thing is to have a change of heart. Merida asked the witch to change her mother ignoring the fact that she should also change herself and perspective towards the situation. Sometimes we are like her, It is always easy to complain about other people. To ask God to change their hearts but have ever asked God to change our hearts too? To change the way we think and react on a given situation? Life is not like in the movie with a duration of two hours and an adventure that only last in three days. In our entire existence, we will have to endure more conflicts not just in days but sometimes for years or longer than that but how are we going to conquer it if we would just point our finger to the people around us. Surely, it will make a difference if the people will change but what about us? Are we going to keep on blaming other people's heart instead of ours? Of course not! Because It will be better if we are the one who would have a changed of heart so we will then stop our complaining and we will learn to embrace every good things that we tend to ignore because we are so focused on other people's flaws.

At the end of the movie, Merida said, "Our fate lies within us. You only have to be brave to see it."

If you really want to change your future stop blaming other people. Be brave to look within yourself. Identify your flaws. Start changing.

You would probably say , "I know I have flaws but it's too late I can never change. I have done a lot of things already and there's no way I can start over again because my life is tainted with sin and this pain will always be a part of me." You maybe in that dark situation but I tell you, you can still start your life over again because God, Himself, made the solution. The only thing that you have to do is to ask God for the forgiveness of your sins then believe and accept that Jesus Christ had paid the penalty of your sins by dying on the cross two thousand years ago so that we may have life and have it to the full.

Therefore, If anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation: The old has gone, the new has come.
-2 Corinthians 5:17

If you are reading this, It is time to morph! Change your lens and see an improved image of life. Believed and be transformed by the power of God. Asked God to renew your heart and your mind so you will have new eyes to see and new ears to comprehend.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me.
-Psalm 51:10
