The Other Side of You

Deep inside our being we all have hatred and bitterness piled up from our youth and it is sometimes the reason why we pursue things. Just like in Naruto Shippuden episode 245: The Next Challenge! Naruto vs. The Nine Tails, where he faced another side of him, the other side of him who's full of hatred, that he thought did not exist. He battled with his own reflection and grew tired of it because his strengths are not enough to defeat it. But he found away to defeat his other half by finally embracing the truth that that hatred has been the reason why he had gone that far because that hatred gave him the strength when nobody believes in him. He let go of his dark side upon realizing that there were people who trusted and loved him and decided that he will draw strength from them.

embrace the truth

We can also apply it to ourselves. We must embrace the truth because the truth will set us free. We all have negative feelings inside our hearts but we should not let it rule us though it is one factor that unconsciously helped us to become who we are right now. Acknowledge what is hurting inside your heart right now, release it because there is someone who can strengthen you and He will enable you to live a life to the full. He is Jesus Christ, He loves you for who you are because while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He would love to sustain you and to make your dreams come true. Remember what He has done for you. Remember His love, provision and protection. In the times that you feel hopeless and weak, God is there with you, carrying you through all the troubles. Believe in His promise that is in Isaiah 46:4, "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will carry you."

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.  And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. -Psalm 37:39-40

Let go the other side of you. It's time to draw your strength from the Lord.
