Taal Volcano Crater

To all the tourist out there who wants to see the Taal Volcano crater up close.

Breathe taking view of the Crater

Here's some of the tips that you should know to have a great time at a cheaper cost.

1. It's better if you'll have your own car so that you won't be charged Php1,500 for a ride going to Talisay,Batangas and back to Tagaytay.

2. If you have a car, just ask some of the guys with a sign board "Boat ride" in Olivarez near the view point in rotonda. They will give you a price for the boat ride from Leynes to Taal Volcano and in vice versa. The Standard rate is Php1,500 but what we did is we told them that we're going to find a cheaper rent for a boat in leynes and on our way to leynes we saw the riding on a motorcycle and told us that he'll give it to us for Php900. So there you go!

3. Upon arriving at the tourism office, you would be if you're going to ride a horse that would cause Pph450 per head and if you're going to walk, you will need to pay Php500 for a tour guide (it's mandatory!), so what we did is we just rented a horse because it's cheaper and it already includes the tour guide.

4. If you're afraid that you'll get tired while trekking, worry no more since there will be people riding on a horse that'd follow you and would you a ride for a cheaper cost.

5. Last thing you should know is, it is very hot in there and it would be better if you'd go there early in the morning or before the sun sets. I would also advice you to bring a lot of water since it's a bit expensive there.
